孔子说：“天下和国家是可以治理的，官爵俸禄是可以放弃的，锋利的刀刃是可以踩踏而过的，但想要完全践行中庸之道却几乎不可能做到。”
英文：
Confucius said: "The world and its states can be governed; official titles and emoluments can be renounced; even sharp blades can be tread upon. Yet, Doctrine of the Mean is truly difficult to attain."
